GARRABRIDGE lights up the BBC'S Television centre in London
A few years ago, the British Broadcasting Corporation, the world’s largest broadcasting organization, decided to consolidate its portfolio (News, Radio, Television and Online service) and centralize operations. Thus started, in the heart of the City of London, the redevelopment’s project of “Broadcasting House“, BBC®’s headquarters, and the refurbishment of the “Television Centre“, headquarters of BBC® Television.
For this project, GARRABRIDGE designed and manufactured more than 3,000 direct/indirect suspended LED panels. This luminaire was thought out to bring functional and ambient lighting altogether – creating an extra volume impression to the illuminated space - while providing comfortable and homogeneous light due to low glare effect (UGR<17) and limited visible shadows. The challenge to offer a LED luminaire not only efficient, but also visually attractive, was a total success!
